I used this on the rear of our caravan, but can also be used as a security camera as I hardwired it to the caravan batteries and not through the trailer plug

Easy to install, great picture quality, fed power from tail light so is on with headlights, great when merging back into lane and able to see cars behind.
Excellent camera

Set this up as a rear view camera so that it's on all the time when driving. Field of vision and picture quality is excellent and night vision is great too. Wireless range is good when driving around town but haven't tried it at highway speeds yet so can't comment on that. Overall, so far I'd say it's worth the money. I'm still not sure why companies don't just make cameras that transmit to smart devices yet - let's face it, everybody has at least one and it would cut down on dashboard clutter and cost without the extra screen but, for technology at this moment in time, this is a good device.

Can you mount the camera at the bottom of the caravan and it won't affect communication with the monitor inside the vehicle?
Yes, you can mount the camera at the bottom of the caravan and it won't affect the connection to your monitor. You will possibly get greater range of vision if it was mounted at the top though above the car directly behind you.
